Story 54 A New Sunrise

The sunrise came and a new morning began. The conniving sneak was transformed. In the past, Jacob had showed some glimpses of faith. Unlike Esau, he had not married Canaanite women. He truly believed in God’s promise that the land of Canaan would one day belong to the descendants of Abraham.

Story 59 Joseph is Sold

Joseph, the beloved son of Rachel and Jacob, grew up quite alone in the household of his father. The sons of Leah and the maidservants were very jealous of this boy who was so clearly the favorite of their father. He wore the lavish coat that their father had made just for him, and he told them of dreams where they would bow down at his feet.

Story 73 The Royal Blessing of Judah

God’s blessing for the next son was totally different from the ones given to Reuben, Simeon, and Levi. This son was Judah. We will read as he is given broad and wide blessings that would transform the nation of Israel and the world. These remarkable blessings will continue into eternity!

Story 76 Jacob Dies

Jacob blessed each of his sons with words of prophecy about the tribes that would come from each of them to make God’s holy nation. These were words of breathtaking faith. Jacob trusted that God would do what he had promised even though he could not see it. Jacob knew that he was growing old.

Story 77 Genesis Review

Let’s remember together the big picture of what we learned from Genesis. God has an amazing plan for the human race. The Lord created a universe of beauty and light for them, and brought the first two humans to life in a perfect Garden.
